Job Description
We are looking for an experienced SAP TM Technical Architect with 12+ years in SAP, including strong hands-on expertise in ABAP, SAP TM, and a modern SAP development stack including SAP BTP, Fiori/UI5, CDS/OData, and functional knowledge of logistics processes.
Qualifications & skills
Technical Experience
- 10+ years in SAP ABAP (OO, BOPF, enhancements, performance, etc.)
- 7+ years in SAP TM, with:
- Minimum 2 full-cycle implementations
- At least 2 support or enhancement projects
- Expertise in:
- BOPF, PPF, FPM, BRF+
- TM Master Data (Locations, BPs, Lanes), Freight Orders/Units, Charge Calculation, Planning, Execution
- Strong integration knowledge: IDoc, Web Services, BAPI, OData, SAP CPI, PI/PO
- Experience in SAP EM or GTS is advantageous
Modern SAP & UI Technologies
- Proven experience with SAP BTP extension development—CDS, RAP, Cloud ABAP
- Hands-on development in Fiori/UI5, OData, SAP Gateway—modern UI layer
- Use of SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) or equivalent in BTP projects
Functional & Methodology Knowledge
- Hands-on understanding of TM functional processes and integration with SD, MM, EWM, GTS
- Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery and global template rollouts
Key roles and responsibilities
- Define and own end-to-end technical architecture for SAP TM (embedded and standalone)
- Translate business requirements into scalable SAP TM solutions involving BTP, Fiori, and core TM platforms
- Lead development of custom enhancements using BOPF, PPF, BRF+, FPM, and other extension frameworks
- Architect and implement robust integration flows across SAP and non-SAP systems
- Design and support TM processing—Freight Orders, Planning, Settlement, Charge Management
- Drive Fiori/UI5 front-end development, including views, OData services, and RAP/CDS models
- Conduct technical workshops, create solution blueprints, and maintain system documentation
- Lead troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production issue resolution
- Stay current with SAP landscape changes—especially around BTP, Fiori, and TM
