Job Description
As a Senior Consultant (SAP TM Technical), you will be responsible for leading all phases of SAP Transportation Management implementation projects, from blueprinting to deployment. You will work directly with clients to understand their business needs, design optimal solutions, and configure the SAP TM system accordingly. Your role will involve providing expert guidance on SAP TM functionalities, developing technical specifications, and mentoring junior team members to ensure successful project delivery and continuous improvement
Qualifications & skills
- 5 years of overall experience in SAP ABAP with minimum 3 years in SAP TM technical development.
- Minimum 1 end to end implementation experience.
- Hands-on expertise in: BOPF, PPF, BRF+, FPM (Floor Plan Manager)
- Strong understanding of Freight Order Management, Charge Calculation, and Planning Execution flows.
- Proficient in integration technologies: IDoc, BAPI, OData, Web Services.
- Familiar with SAP TM master data: Locations, Business Partners, Transportation Lanes, etc.
- Ability to debug and optimize performance of custom developments.
Key roles and responsibilities
- Develop custom solutions and enhancements within the SAP TM module using ABAP and related technologies.
- Work with BOPF (Business Object Processing Framework) to develop and enhance Freight Orders, Freight Units, and other TM objects.
- Configure and implement PPF (Post Processing Framework) actions for output and automation.
- Use BRF+ for charge management, validation rules, and decision-making logic.
- Design and implement FPM-based screens and UI modifications.
- Support integration with SAP and non-SAP systems using IDocs, BAPIs, Web Services, and OData.
- Assist in technical design, development, testing, and deployment of TM functionalities.
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
